medical discipline for comprehensive treatment while
offering the services necessary to create a model program.
Your child’s core pediatric congenital heart team
includes: a dedicated congenital heart surgeon, pediatric
cardiologist, cardiac trained pediatric intensivists,
dedicated nursing staff, neonatologist, and a neonatal/pediatric
transport team. Additional team members include respiratory
therapists, radiologists, nutritionists, social service
workers, and child life specialists. The physicians
and staff at Methodist Children’s Heart Institute
realize you will have questions and concerns. They are
proactive in their approach and always willing to help
you understand your child’s condition and keep
you informed regarding your child’s progress.
