Our congenital heart program features a full range of cardiology services including: cardiac catheterization (interventional/ diagnostic), echocardiography (3-D echo, TEE and fetal), and adult congenital care. The doctors at Methodist Children’s Heart Institute perform a complete range of congenital cardiac surgical procedures: from minimally invasive septal defect repairs to complex single ventricle repairs (Norwood Procedure), and from neonatal surgeries to repair of adults with congenital heart defects. Other procedures include arrhythmia and heart failure care, mechanical support, and transplantation (for adults with congenital heart defects). In addition, the congenital team provides pediatric thoracic services to include: chest wall reconstruction, mediastinal operations, and broncho-pulmonary surgery.
